Independent filmmaking demands more than creativity. It requires resourcefulness, adaptability, and a willingness to find another route when the expected one doesn’t work.

Why “False Canonical”?
In technical terms, a canonical version is the one considered authoritative—the version everyone agrees is the real one.
A false canonical is what happens when the accepted version isn’t actually correct.
We thought that sounded a lot like storytelling.
Every film decides what the audience sees, what it believes, and which version of events becomes real for the next ninety minutes.
Sometimes the interesting story begins when that version turns out to be wrong.
